Making stuff (or even pretending to while thinking about Iron Man)

Titledesign, to be specific.

Yep! I went from my illustration class and am in the film/animation class now. YAY! This semester's topic is title design, and we're doing front credits for an animated film about a dancing boy ;)
ANIMATION. YES!! ...which means our group will have to draw about 2800 pics to make the animation nice and fluid... .... ... yeah I don't want to think about that. DRAWING ANIMATION IS AMAZING! 8D Let's see how long it lasts till I'll write "Animation sucks!" XD
So that's the status from the studyfront 8D

Okay, maybe this aint a scribble anymore. I just couln't sleep at night and had to draw a dancing scene, and I somehow got lost on the scribble and began to threw copic color on it, and at last I also found my white ink pen and added some bubbles.

Blue blue blue! Yeah, the light here isn't the best, so it's even more sketchy in daylight....
...in fact, the light here is pretty shitty. Anyone knows these daylight-simulation-lamps? Are they worth the money? :/ I'm thinking of buying one as a birthday present for myself... XD

By the way, I'm nearly done with the stuff for this semester. Only one more research paper and I'm done. YEAH!! Holidays! Time for interesting private projects! Finally time to draw my comic! And fun! Action! Party! 8D or, actualy, lots of being-awake-at-night, sleeping the whole day, eating stuff you shouln't and incredible lazyness...

Copic resurrection

...successful!
I didn't use my copics for month now, and I was thinking about reselling them again, because digital stuff has its pros. But I nearly forget how much fun working analog is, and now I'm thinking of raising my copic colors and buying some polychromos... :'D

...and this is the result of the resurrection:

As said before, colors with copic markers. Outlines with multiliner on marker paper, scribble with pencil on copy paper. Pose inspired by Bleach :'D

The character will appear in the comic I'm working on - be curious... ;D

Hello there!

There is some stress with that schools and life and work and stuff all around, but I'm trying to get back to the daily post thing!
So have a drawing, even if it's only one :D

From the session again. There are still some left, but I have to prepare them to upload first, and that needs some time :B
This one is pencil and copic, a five minute sketch I think. (there was some varity between five to fifteen minutes per image, and they've been shuffled a little :B)

Headaces, technical things and Invincible again

Hi out there.

Yeah, so I spend nearly the wohle day with headaches. Headaches are bad for drawing.

So instead I picked my mouse into pieces, cause the left click kept on jamming. If you're like me, you always wanted to know how it looks inside that stuff we (nearly) every day use! 8D

Besides, the red arrow shows the cause of the problem, there is a not even one mm deep jag in the plastic. Damn sensitive technology! Trying to fix it with glue now, hope it works.... otherwise, new mouse than :B

But! I'm not going to leave you without showing you pictures again. Have some sketch at first!

Yap, Invincible fanart again. Viltrumites are just cool, but I want to see more of the females. There are so few of them! But they are so cool!

Time to read some comics instead of drawing stuff 8D
No sooner said than done! So I just re-read the first volume of the ultimate collection of Invincible.

And although I still think it's a great comic, while re-reading it over and over there's more and more stuff that bugs me.
First of all, why, why, WHY has the female main chara has to wear a pink outfit with a venus symbol on her chest? Seriously, we would have known without that she's a woman. It's kind of this OMG WE HAVE FEMALE SUPERHEROES HERE SO WE HAVE THEM TO BE SUPER GIRLY!!!-attiture, and I really can't stand that. It shouln't be such a great thing to have super heroines today. Heyoo out there, woman can wear normal chlothes, too! They don't have to be pink and girly!
(and her special powers sparkle in pink, too. What the fuck!)
Oh, and whoever told them to combine a pink outfit to red hair should be drowed in wall paint. ;)


I mean, would it have had any bad effect if they would have dressed Eve in green instad of pink?

Guess not. 8D

I like the skin colors in this one, and the sky, cause they both worked out well although I nearly destroyed both because of stupidness XD (and empty blender ^^°)

Aaand the water color version.... water color is kind of frustrating, cause it costs the most time and gives (my opinion) the worst result of the three. But well, working with water colors is still kind of funny, and maybe I'll find a way to work quicker and more beautiful with them ... 8D

Copics again 8D

Wow, this might be the latest post so far!  But today it's not even my fault, cause Blogger didn't want to upload pictures D:

But here we are:

I drew this a while ago, when my copics were new, on thin marker paper. That thin paper is more difficult to handle, I think, cause the colors don't aspirate into the paper, but build a film on the surface, which leads to incredible smearing if you don't know that.

And his coat is too blue. Should be more violet. Well.

Hey out there!

Yes, I draw Kakao* Cards, too. ;D (I'm not sure if they exist in english) And there will be some more the next time.
Let's start with one I drew some time ago, when my copics were still new XD There was a sudden character change on the picture when I realized that I had no idea how to draw blonde hair (I figured it out somehow now...). So he got a slightly different hairstyle and some changes in face and chlothes, and viòla, Othis was there XD

 

Smoking, coffee-drinking guy again... Guess I have a pattern there XD

Copic stuff again

Uh, very late post today. Anyway, I created another pic with copics, and bit by bit I get used to them ;D

Okay, he's not that chatty at the moment, but if you let him drink his coffee (or give him another one. And than another one...) he will probably be very communicative XD
I tried some new paper with this one, it's called "Hahnemüle Manga Illustration" and it's noticeable thicker than other marker paper. Guess it sucks more color out of the copics, but on the other hand it dosen't crumble if you rub your eraser too hard on it. Hum.

HERE WE GO!

Hi out there! 8D

Obviously I love jumping characters, and I wanted to try out my new colored ink, and so I made this pic ;D

GO, Shar, GO! Woohooo!!

The outlines are made with colored ink, the coloration is copic and the higlights are a white pigment pen. It's not that easy to draw in this more cartoony style but the lines are more simple and I worked the whole thing out in about 2 and a half hours or something.

A Copic Girl

Hello out there! :D

After yesterday my bankcard was diagnosed as defect, my train was over 30 minutes late and finally my bed broke down, I hope my day today will be a better day (wow, that were lots of days in that sentence)
 Apparently I have to buy a new bed now, which means my own PC is far away again. Damn you, bad luck!
Well.
Whatever.
I wanted to do some analog stuff again, so I grabbed my pencil, sketched a girly girl and colored it with copics. Why is it that everyone cries about how hard it is to color skin with copics? O_o Actually I think it's kind of the easiest part of the picture. But on the other hand I'm not working in big spaces with copics, so maybe that's part of the secret... Don't know. I also tried to work out another style. Something more comic-like. Or similar.
Just have a look.
