Otis watercolor sketch

Heyho everyone! :D

Is anyone heading to the Role Play Convention in Cologne these days?
'Cuz I'll be there, helping out a friend at the artist alley (Illustratorenmeile)! :D And I bring a bunch of scribbles and pics, so if you're there, just say hello! ;)

Not much new stuff otherwise, at least nothing that isn't depressing. Anyways, have this sketch of cute lil' Otis! :D

Freckles! Freckles EVERYWHERE!!

Right out of the sketchbook! :D

See you soon! ^_^

Some watercolor!

HELLO AGAIN  EVERYBODY!!

How're you all??
First of all, sorry for my abstinence here, life is tough at the moment, and things are rarely going the way I want them to. Also I want to thank the two anonymous commentators who were worried I might have abandoned the blog. I didn't! I was just not able to post anything.
Anyways, I started to learn Illustrator and InDesign a bit, and I will post some stuff I made in these, so there might be some different stuff from what is here now in the future. Also, if anyone can rec some good tutorials for either one of the two programs above or Photoshop, I'd be very happy!! :D

Meanwhile I grabbed my water colors and did some warming up :D An yup, it's the police team again ;)

I love jalousies!

So, I hope you're all still alive and well everybody!! I love you! See you soon! >o<

Watercolor sketch

Hey out there! :D

No animations today, I'm working full capacity on that ballet-animation-thing. Maybe news from that at some point... ^^

BUT I have a (new) sketchbook and sometimes there are presentable pics in these XD

So, have this sketch of Emma:

Maybe I'm starting to like water colors :D What do you think?

Have a nice weekend!!

Exhausted. Scribbles?

Now that week was exhausting.

Not even because of lots of homework or something, but because we have to choose 3 of 10 classes next month, and that leads to discussions who will get in which course. Phew.

Also, I'm mostly scribbling the last time, so you'll probably get formerly scribble-mingle-mangles the next time.

Scribbletime!

Water color on water color paper, amazing model was Olivia Odd again, who went back to USA some time ago. Have a good time, girl! Hope I can draw you again some day in the futur! :D

Sleep well, guys.

Portfolio, Part II

Hey there!

This is the second part of my portfolio, the series "Nähe" (can be translated as"adjacency", "contiguousness", "vicinity" but also "close to", "near" or "around") , for Krefeld - complete this time.

You might know the first one cause I allready uploaded it, but it belongs here for the completeness ;)

Emotional and physical closeness.

Emotional closeness but physical distance.

Physical closeness but emotional distance.

And another kind of a physical and emotional closeness, I think the people in Krefeld liked this one especially.

They're all water color and fine liner :)

Have a nice day!

Portfolio, Part One :D

Yup, as promised. Pic-heavy!

First stack is a series of my favourite boots, starting with some sketches:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOTS!!!! :D

.... because art schools LOVE sketches and rough paintings and stuff. Hell knows why.

And some people might know parts of the finished ones allready cause I made them in ... January or so, and uploaded them somewhere I think :B

Pencil, soft pastels, copics, water colors and of course my new rock boots :D

There might be no post tomorrow cause I'm away all day, but on Thursday I'll be back.
Have a nice, warm summerday! XD

Hardware still sucks

Header says it all. My pc didn't return from reparation, and my scanner still bitches the half time (at last I'm able to scan with one of them now)...

So today's picture is photographed again (but to be fair, it's too big to be (easy) scanned anyway :D). It's a work from my application portfolio for Krefeld (which by the way worked hopefully kind of fine, and next will be nuremberg at the end of the month...), topic was "Nähe", what can be translated with "adjacency", "contiguousness", "vicinity" but also "close to", "near" or "around".

Cheesy, isn't it? 8D

Done as a pencil sketch, than outlined with multiliners and colored with water colors and hair dryer. It's part of a series of 4 works... When I get the chance, I'll scan and upload them alltogether.

Have a nice day! :D

March 30, 2012

This is the end....

...of the most epic internship I could get. For six month, I had the best rocker-boss, the cutest dog in the world, a job that was more than just fun, experience that brought me more than one step forward and lots and lots of fair trade coffee. ;)

THANK YOU SO MUCH! :D I know you will read this XD

And of course there's a dark side as always - I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with the daily posting. On the one hand, because I have to buy a PC first (but that shouln't take so long, it's allready compiled), and on the other hand because I have to do two portfolios and a homework until May. That means I have to do around 40-60 drawing/painting/design work, which will eat most of my time, and lots of that pics will be bigger than A4 (cause they told me I should do bigger drawings) which means I cannot easily scan them.
Well. But I'll post as often as possible, at least once a week. And when I'm ready with that there shall be pictures for you ;).

BUT TODAY THERE ARE STILL PICTURES!
 Such as....

....this two ACEOs. They belong to a series of nine cards, but these two are my favourites (at least because they are the two that fit together the best. And the right one was the first of that series I did... I LOVE her skin color.). I love drawing these two characters, and this pictures are from an alternative dark future timeline... (yeah...that story is not even half written but there are lots of alternative timelines, so what. It makes me draw pictures so it's allowed XD)
The outlines here were made only with pencil and then colored with water colors and fine brushes, which was a finicky work around the eyes. ACEOs are making me a detail-denyer. ;)

So, have a nice weekend and see you soon! :D

Friday post! 8D

Yup, very creative caption.
And another older ACEO for today,  cause I don't have much to show you right now - there is too much stuff that's not ready yet or has to be scanned first - with a better scanner than the one I have here. >_<'

Have a nice weekend! :D

ACEO again!

Hey out there, how are you?
Hope you're allright ;)

Today's picture is another ACEO and I screwed it up cause I dropped ink on it. But I like the rest and hey, everyone makes mistakes 8D You just learn from them (in this case, that you should discard the nib before putting it on the paper again!) ;)

Locks again! In water color on water color paper, outlines with sepia ink ;D

Hope it's warm and sunny wherever you are right now ;D

March 20, 2012

Finally, the other polaroids!

The header says it all ;D  Sorry for being so slowly with these colorations... but here they are! 8D

I like the skin colors in this one, and the sky, cause they both worked out well although I nearly destroyed both because of stupidness XD (and empty blender ^^°)
Only the caption is insert with PS.

Aaand the water color version.... water color is kind of frustrating, cause it costs the most time and gives (my opinion) the worst result of the three. But well, working with water colors is still kind of funny, and maybe I'll find a way to work quicker and more beautiful with them ... 8D

And what do you think? :D

A Commission on Characters

Hey out there! 8D

Okay, strange, but I can't reply on your comments any more o_0; Sorry D: I'll figure something out...

So, the headline says everything, today's picture was a commission once, for some rpg-characters. It's also an older picture, I made it in spring/summer last year, and on the pencil-sketch I changed stuff again and again and again... that was slightly exhausting. But in the end, the customer was absolutely happy with the pic. And then I barely heard of him again. Well....
I had some trouble with scanning that thing, because that damn water color paper fluted more than it should, and so some areas might look slightly deformed that not are in real D:

Inked again with colored ink, the one in the front with grey, the other one with sepia, the coloration is water color and water color pencils. I had no references, just a text form description of the two :B

Memo to me (and other people out there): Never do a commission without an acceptance of order :/ That might save you from some annoyance. >_>

Have a nice day ^^

More Kakao-Cards!

Hey out there! :D

Yup, another little card. Because I'm too busy working on my portfolio which I have to make ready before Sunday D: (and I'm a little freaked out because of that. Just a little.)
This one is made with water colors and colored ink. Or only colored ink? Well, here it is:

Even if this is a rough drawn pic, I really like it, and I like the mood. I like rainy pictures. I like rain. I like it when people look wet. That sounds kind of wrong.. It's also a character you will probably meet more often in this blog. ;)

Have a nice day! :D

The Koi Lady

Hi out there! :D

Those who came here from deviantArt or animexx may allready know this picture, so why did I upload it again? The reason is, I finally could scan it without loosing the original colors and much of the details. So this could be interesting for those who allready know the pic, too ;D

Compare this
with this:

 See the difference? :)
As before, outlines with grey ink and coloration with water colour.

Have fun!
