Time for another group pic! ^^ Last time you got the whole division, this time it's the hard core of Wu's gang ;)

Done from a rough pencil sketch as always, inked by hand and colored in PS CS6 :D




Maybe I'll try that one with a more dynamic background at some point, but right now I like it pretty much :D  What do you think? ^^

Throwing out all the old stuff

WELCOME AGAIN and HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

It's been some time, sorry for that. Life just ain't easy some times, and even if you have the time to fetch your hobbies in theory, life practice dosen't always work that way. So, thanks to all the people who are still following me, and sorry to all those who worried I might have given up here. A big hug to all of you!! (Also, if there would come the time I might REALLY give up on the blog or the story, I would let you know, bc it really unsettles me when people just stop posting. Who knows what happend to them??)

I even did some stuff, I just didn't manage to post it. Including some weird color experiments, YAY! So, new year, fresh start and let's throw out all the old stuff that was waiting in my little blogfolder to be shown to the world, wheee :D

Lets start with some bloodwork!

 

I like this picture very much. It's more a what-if than a piece that might happen in a story but I really really like how the colors turned out in this one.

And now let's go straight to the color experiments! :D


I think the one in the middle is my favourite, but I also like that weird pink thing on the right. Doing these was so much fun! :D Short after them, I made this one:

That might even be the same colors like the on above :D I love this one very much, although the colors ain't fitting the picture regarding content, but HEY! So much fun!

So, and in the end, we have some studies for light and composition, which ain't that exciting but I'll show you anyways ;)

I actually had some reference for these two but by now I lost them... :( I'll link them as soon as I find them! >o<

Captain America - Animation Video!! :D

SO!!

Hello dears, long time no see!
The last weeks were a little hard, bc the examination period is a little earlier here, and it's nearly OVER! :D and then the whole application stuff for an internship starts.... aaahhhhh AND WE WON THE WORLD CUP! YAY! :D

Anyways, we had to make a viral video for one of my courses - no further restraints, except it has to reach about 1000 views in a week - and bc I'm not doing any animation for my film class this semester, I decided to do a flash animation film, YAY! And because I'm a nerd, I made the new Captain America movie the topic of it XD (you'll find the vid on the bottom of this post! ;) )

So I started with some simple sketches ....

.....and at the end of the day*, after hours of drawing and trying to get the backgrounds that people would somehow recognize what scene that might be, I had results like this:

Luckily I had a great help with all the animation stuff - thanks again for that, Jule! :D You're my saviour ;) AND WE GOT IT FINISHED, FINALLY!!

Welcome to the jungle...

....because why not.

I promised videos, but I still didn't post any. WHY?! Because of some uncertain reasons I cannot link them here, and we don't know for certain why, but since I don't have admin rights for the account they're uploaded on (it's the schools acc) I have to wait till others fix that problem. But it's worked on!

So anyways, have some weird experiment pic now. Still trying to get into digital painting. I don't even want to be photorealistic like others, but it's still tricky to make stuff look good.

WOOOOOOOSH HAIR

Hellas fellas!
So some time ago I was really excitet, because after that flop of getting into illustration classes I was going to work on an animated music video with a group. Unfortunately they're going with a live action idea now, which on the one hand is really cool, on the other hand not what I wanted to do in this group... damn. I like that project, it's very artsy black-white-gay-expressionism-stuff, but still...ANIMATION WHERE DID YOU GO

What to do?? Well if I can't do movie shorts, I'll go for gifs instead :< Remember my last post, where I showed you my new wallpaper? I thought it'd be cool if the hair was moving, and I couldn't sleep, so I did this:

But - I still couldn't sleep, and it bugged me that it was so stutter-y, so I did this one straight afterwards:

Mah new PC wallpaper

YEEEEAAAHHHH!

Since I'm drawing basically nothing else than storyboards and rotoscoping, I'm actually getting better at sketching on digital surface directly.
So I started doodling around and after a couple of minutes I had my new wallpaper:

But since I have 2 monitors, I needed a second one and spend another 15 minutes drawing this.

They are rough and sketchy and spontaneous and I love them. Personally I think these are some of my best works of the last months. There may have been more complex and time consuming stuff, like the stuff I did for my courses, but this is how I love to draw. Only pencil is better.
 What do you think? :D

NEXT will be a complication of videos I've  produced with various teams on my courses, so you'll finally see what I'm doing all day long when I'm not posting on this blog ;)

Dusk and dawn

Gooood morning friends and followers!

Yep, it's been a while again, uah. No excuse for that.
But I'm trying to do some quality contend again, why I tried so sign up for illustration classes again - tried, because I don't know yet if I'll be in it. Apparently there are too many students applying for that class this year, so they have to do a small application procedure fist. So much for "free choice of classes"! Meh.

Anyways, I helped a group of film students with their motion graphic, so there'll be possibly a short animation to look at again :D
Btw, people seem to love animation, my miniclip of a ballerina got more than 1,000 notes on tumblr, (Thank you for that!) while the rest of my posts got barely 10, or even less >o<

BUT ANIMATIONS ARE EXHAUSTING!!
 So have some still standing pics again ;)

Yah, these two again.
Emma is waiting for the night to come, while Locks is still laying awake in the morning light.

First I just wanted to draw a pic of these two, standing somewhere smoking cigarettes, but somehow it turned out to be like this. They are similar, but somehow on different paths, in the same boat but turning in different directions.
The light setup was a new one, and I feel like I'm getting better in skipping the analog step of sketching, to a complete digital pic. What do you think?

First post of the new year ;)

Happy new year!

Yeahhh it's a little too late, but the last time was - is - still stressy... ^^° But I've got some stuff in the backhand I'll post at the end of semester so that you can see what I'm working on all day ;)

ALSO - For some reason, I couln't answer comments the last time, so pls don't be sad/angry that I didn't react, I'm working on the problem ^^; In the meantime you can stalk me on several other platforms and chat with me there ;)

The first one is my favourite :D

As I said before, I did the storyboard for my film classes and I really like the format. Also I love pictures that look like movie stills, when characters are not just posing or something but are acutally doing stuff... It's more dynamic and lifelike and everything, and I have a looooooooong road to go till I get there XD But it's fun! I hope I'll have some more time in the semester break...

So, serious stuff next time. Until then - Happy January! :D
